Latest property stats from Barfoot and Thompson have again showed Auckland property prices edging up.
The real estate company said this morning that the shortage of properties being offered for sale in Auckland had continued, with average prices in June hitting a new high of $589,251.
There were 994 properties sold by Barfoots in June, the highest number in five years. By the end of the month it had 4,078 properties available for sale – its lowest number in nearly seven years.
Barfoot and Thompson chief executive Wendy Alexander said June average prices were up 1.2 per cent from May and 8.5 per cent from the average price for the whole of last year.
